Lynam & Associates Navigates Sustainability Frontier at 2012 ASPE Convention & Exposition
David Lynam, of Lynam & Associates, presented “LEEDing with Caution and Mitigating Green Liability†to an audience of engaged and receptive engineering design professionals at the American Society of Plumbing Engineers’ 2012 Convention & Exposition on Wednesday, October 31 in Charlotte, NC. As the market increasingly incentivizes and demands sustainable buildings, the law has lagged in providing engineering design professionals and contractors with effective guideposts by which to evaluate exposure to liability on such projects. Mr. Lynam’s presentation highlighted a number of recent regulatory and institutional developments that provide engineering design professionals with greater certainty as they attempt to mitigate liability and pursue a sustainable future.
The American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) was founded in 1964, and held its first semi-annual convention in 1968 at the Ambassador Hotel Convention Center in Los Angeles. Subsequent conventions have been held across the United States in such cities as  New Orleans, Boston, and Philadelphia. Lynam & Associates salutes ASPE for yet another successful convention, and looks forward to ASPE’s 50th Anniversary in Chicago in 2014.
