Join us for the ULCC Entrepreneur Group Meeting on Monday, October 27th, featuring Thania Panopoulos

Please join the Union League Club Entrepreneur Group, chaired by David Lynam, for our next monthly meeting on Monday, October 27th at 6:00pm, featuring speaker and entrepreneur Thania Panopoulos who will speak about social entrepreneurship in Chicago.

Thania Panopoulosis is an advisor and consultant who leads growth and innovation in organizations of all sizes.  Thania is passionate about using entrepreneurial principles to help organizations change, grow, and uncover creative solutions to problems.  In additional to running her consulting practice, The Perissos Group, Thania is a founding advisor and an active mentor of Impact Engine, an accelerator for for-profit businesses that are making the world a better place; a co-founder of Social Venture Partners, a venture philanthropy fund that invests in entrepreneurial, scalable nonprofits in the Chicago area; and a founding director of One Million Degrees, a non-profit that provides scholarships and support services for low income Community College students.  Prior to starting the Perissos Group, Thania was an executive with GE Capital, a Managing Director at Sandbox Industries, a venture capital firm, and a co-founder of Buzz Divine, an integrated marketing communications firm.

Thania will talk about the opportunities and challenges entrepreneurs face in launching and growing social enterprises and she will address the role of impact investors in supporting the growth of mission driven enterprises.

Anyone receiving our blog is welcome to attend. Members should make reservations through the club website, and non-members may contact us to reserve a space. The Union League Club is located at 65 W. Jackson Boulevard, Chicago, Illinois. Feel free to bring business cards.
